“Life beckons us as a flicker. A tendril. A corner of darkness. A bell. A spark of the soul. And curiosity propels us to follow.” ~ Rose Zonetti Hello, and happy summer!
Wow. Summer really came into town with some attitude this year. Heat! Humidity. Wind. Power Outages. Thankfully, our power was returned ahead of schedule, and I feel for every business and event that got disrupted. Today, I want to talk about disruption from a different angle. Much of what happens in our thinking mind is on HEAVY rotation. The thoughts, The fears. The chatter. The noise. It repeats itself. Over, and over, and over again. Summer Solstice is a special time for me to reflect. To think about specifically what it is that I want to shift. What is it that I want to hold up into these longest days of light? When I look back at this moment . . . maybe in a week, or a month, or at Winter Solstice . . . what is it that I want to have shifted? Here’s the thing. Setting an intention is NOT about magical thinking. Simply saying, “I want more ease in my life,” doesn’t really create a shift in how your day to day is going to feel. Sure. having awareness around wanting ease, and voicing it, means you are already heading in that direction. 🙌🏽 However, imagine saying, “I’d love a beautiful flower garden.” So, you toss a bunch of seeds onto the ground and do nothing more. What are the odds that those seeds will germinate and produce a stunning array of flowers? Same idea applies when we are trying to grow our own garden. 🌱 We've got to tend to the soil. Pay attention to the light. Add some nutrients. Water. Have patience, and resilience, and keep our focus on those plants. Same with setting an intention. We need to get clear about the shift that we want, and then we have to tend to it. Keep it in the foreground. Stay focused and nourished and patient. So, as we bask in this change of seasons and soak up the power of yesterday’s new moon, I’m asking you: when you look back at this moment, what difference do you want to see? This shift does not have to be something huge. Or difficult. Or stressful. Or painful. It can be something that is seemingly small and yet? Something that makes an actual difference in how you feel each and every day. We can do this for ourselves. And, when we come together in community with this type of energy . . . our efforts are amplified! If you’d like me to hold space for you and your intention, simply drop me a line and let me know the shift you are seeking. I will keep you, and your garden, in my daily meditation. 🌸 If you noticed the quotation up above . . . go ahead and BE curious! Allow that spark of light to lead you. I can’t wait to see where you go! Love and light, ~m Let’s get our Yacht Club yoga group going! Join me on Saturdays | 8:30 - 9:30 A ♥️ This Saturday and EVERY SATURDAY in July!

“The more you study delight, the more delight there is to study.” ~ Ross Gay Hello beautiful beings!
Every coffee related trip I have taken has been amazing. This most recent one to Mozambique and South Africa was extra special. Meeting the coffee farmers who are part of The Gorongosa Project was so incredible. Here they are, growing a crop they do not typically consume, that takes four years of work before you can harvest and earn any money, all in an effort to improve their lives. It’s remarkable. We also got to visit a couple of the schools and educational clubs that are happening around the perimeter of the park so that the communities are further enriched. The circles of joyful children singing, clapping, dancing, and learning made my heart swell. Cap this off with late afternoon Game Drives around the park where yes . . . we saw elephants and lions, and SO much more. The Game Drives finish with the most spectacular sunset while sipping a freshly made Gin & Tonic. I never wanted to leave. And, I’m very happy to be home! Great to be here in time to celebrate my Dad and my Father-In-Law this past Sunday. Wonderful to be back on the sailboat and to be snuggled by Javi. Mike has finished his school year and is furthering the beautiful landscaping he lovingly creates around our home. I have so many more stories to share, but for now . . . a hope that you can join me for Summer Solstice Yoga @ Oval Beach on Friday! 7:00 - 8:30 P. Bring your own mat or use one of ours!
