In October 2019, the Purple Adobe Lavender Farm nearly took me to my knees.
While exploring the hot springs, chapels, art galleries, and environs around Abiquiu, my girlfriend and I happened upon the Purple Adobe Lavender Farm. Initially, we passed it by. On our way back around, she asked, "Do you want to stop?"
Nothing but the gate of the farm was open; we had the place to ourselves. As soon as I stepped out of the car, the aroma, the beauty, the power of peacefulness made me gasp. I exclaimed in delight, "This is my kind of farming! I could move right in here."
Theresa thought we just be there a moment. Captivated, I explored every inch. I moved slowly. I meditated. I was mesmerized.
Brief Look Back
For years, I had been drawn to the beauty, the harshness, the vastness, and the energy of New Mexico. Whenever I could, I'd carve out time to immerse myself in Theresa's off-the-grid home outside of Taos. I went there to heal, to be inspired, to recharge, and reconnect to my highest self.
The piece of home and property just up the hill from her were beyond tempting, but I knew it was not quite right. Not right for me. Not right for our marriage.
Mike and I have strong connections to our Michigan community, and there was work still to be done. For our careers, our marriage, and our families.
My yoga business was thriving. Our marriage was healing and growing. Proximity to our families was important.
Bold & Beautiful Vision
The day before stepping onto the Lavender Farm, I had a 2.5 hour energy healing session in Taos with Margaret Hansen, D.C. One of the three truths that emerged from our time together is: "I build my life intentionally by sharing beauty and joy."
Simple and powerful.
I know from previous experience of working with Margaret, once we confirmed that truth within my body, the trajectory has been set. The shift has already taken place, and I do not need to intellectually work to try and figure out the path before me.
I will build my life intentionally. I will do this by sharing beauty and joy.
Everything coalesced when I walked throughout the lavender.
I envisioned my future on this piece of land. It was very clear. I could already see myself nurturing and developing this place of beauty. This stunning piece of land that could heighten joy and promote healing for so many others.
Endless possibilities emerged within me. I started excitedly sharing all my ideas with Theresa. The farm could become a retreat center for yoga, meditation, and self-healing. I could teach classes and workshops. We would continue to make beautiful products and tasty treats from the lavender. We could host internationally renowned yogis and healers for trainings and workshops. There could on-site farm to table dinners featuring celebrated regional chefs and local cuisine. What a magical space for highlighting local bands and artists.
It's as if all my education and background melded together into the perfect expression of who I am and how I want to serve.
That night, I couldn't believe what I learned. The farm is for sale!

Purple Adobe Lavender Farm | Angel Investors
Mike and I have the education, the passion, and the work ethic to preserve the Purple Adobe. We can't wait to bring even more joy, beauty, and power into this place. We want this amazing part of New Mexico to become a potent place for people from all around the world to experience.
What we lack is sufficient capital.
We will invest the sale of our historic home into the Purple Adobe, but this is not enough money for us to sustain ourselves and fulfill our vision.
We are asking for your financial assistance because of your love for New Mexico and your understanding of the power of place.
People crave authenticity. People need places where they can raise their vibration simply by walking the earth.
The Purple Adobe Lavender Farm is such a place, and we want to be its stewards.
We cannot wait to start the next chapter of our lives, and we look forward to connecting with you about our vision and our plan.
Thank you for your generous support of this endeavor. This seed money will ensure our success.
Thank you for your investment in the future of the Purple Adobe Lavender Farm.
