✅ Moved out of patterns that no longer serve you (When we do the same practice, every day, for 40-days, we interrupt patterns in our thinking, our reactivity, and our mental looping)
✅ Strengthened awareness within your own body (helping facilitate clarity to know what it is you truly want and need) ✅ Reduced stress and raised resiliency (the noise in our pinball machine brain can be loud! We are able to turn that volume down by getting into our breath and body) ✅ Deepened your connection with you own breath (I know. We breathe all day long. But, did you know that breathing is the only way we have direct access to our own autonomic nervous system? That's right! We are walking around with a POWERFUL way to self-regulate. Let's learn how to use it!) ✅ Increased flexibility and strength (Daily breath and movement relieves stiffness and pain, it can aid digestion, and help our sleep patterns) ✅ Sparked creativity and enhanced energy (taking time each day to tune into the breath and body sets you up for greater creativity, focus, and elevated energy.) |
Consistent"Starting each day, early morning for me, with practice sets me up with a beautiful container. The movement sparks energy and creativity. Plus, it helps me remain mobile and feeling good in my body. It’s interesting. Even though we do the same practice every day, it is never the same, because we are not the same. The ebb and flow within is powerful and revealing."

Committed"Michelle helped me start doing a daily practice at home when an injury prevented me from attending classes at the yoga studio. I typically took 2-3 studio classes per week, and without those, I felt adrift. Now, I wouldn't miss my daily practice for the world. It benefits me both physically and mentally. I do it 7 days / week, and I spend about 20 minutes."

Convinced"When I committed to a 40-day practice with a group of people, I LOVED the group accountability. It’s so interesting working on the same practice for 40 days. Initially, the practice feels a little awkward, and then it becomes a beautiful flow. Yes, there were days when I felt like, ‘Oh, wow, I have to get on the mat.’ but when I did, I knew I was right where I was supposed to be. Michelle’s presence is part of why the 40-day program is so powerful. She is unique and what people need."

𝐐: You mean, I'm going to do the same practice, every day, for 40 days? Doesn't that get boring?
A: Surprisingly, no. Are there days you might feel reluctant, or too busy, to get on the mat? You bet! Are there days where you might feel sort of lousy, or distracted, or hurried during your practice? Of course. That said, there's something so powerful, and wonderful. that emerges through the repetition. And, because we are really never the same from day to day, the practice always has something to reveal to us! It takes about 20 days to unravel a pattern, a habit, in our body. And, it takes another 20 days to rebuild or re-wire. So, there's a reason the 40 day commitment is so transformative. 𝐐: Do I have to do the practice at the same time every day? That sounds tough, especially because my daily schedule isn't super consistent. A: Nope. You do not have to being your practice at the exact same time every day. It's important to consider what time of day you can commit to. For me, I practice "first thing in the morning," and there's some flexibility within that. Some mornings I have to get up really early, so my practice might be well before sunrise. Other days, when I don't have to get up that early, I still practice in the mornings, but my start time might be later. And, I know that If I don't practice in the morning, I'll have a hard time making it to my mat later in the day. 𝐐: How long is the practice? I can't imagine doing a full-length yoga practice every single day. Who has that kind of time? A: Thank you for asking!! While I LOVE long classes with my teacher, I understand that life asks more of us than time on the mat. The practice video that you will use every day will be between 15 and 25 minutes. Totally doable. It's amazing what we can shift in our bodies in such a quick time! 𝐐: What happens if I am sick? Or, have to miss a day of practice for another reason? Do I have to start over? Do all the benefits disappear? A: Great question. Thank you for asking. It is important to try and do the practice every day, for 40 days. It's amazing the reasons we can come up with for skipping. But, most of those are excuses we create to avoid showing up for ourself. So, find the time. Make it a priority. Reach out to your accountability partner and get on the mat. That said, if you are sick, or something else arises that truly alters your day, then you may miss a practice. And, you bless yourself. You find another way to connect in to your breath and your body (listen to mantra, rest, breathe, and connect with a mudra, etc.). You try again the next day. |
𝐐: I'm intrigued, but I am new to yoga and I'm not very flexible. Is this program for someone like me?
A: You do not need previous yoga experience in order to succeed, and thrive, in this course. Once you register, you will be sent an intake questionnaire, exploring what you want from the course and providing you an opportunity to discuss any physical limitations or concerns. When you receive the practice video, if you have questions, concerns, or need a modification, you can simply reach out. Thankfully, yoga is not about putting our bodies into pretzel-like shapes. Nor does it require we are able to touch our toes. Michelle Shaw Yoga is committed to bringing the benefits of yoga to all who want to Elevate Daily Life. 𝐐: Do I need a lot of fancy equipment, or special clothing, in order to enroll in this course? A: Absolutely not. A yoga mat and some comfortable clothing should do it! If you have additional yoga gear like blocks. a strap, a blanket, a bolster, or an eye pillow . . . lovely! Props can be a beautiful way to soften a shape, support our alignment, or simply make us extra cozy. And. they are not necessary for this program. 𝐐: Do I have only have access to the course materials for the 40-days? A: The practice video is downloadable, so it's yours as long as you like! Many participants continue doing their daily practice for 90 or even 120 days! And, you can always return to it whenever you feel it might be of service. Additionally, the 40 support email lessons are yours to use whenever needed. They are FULL of support and provide extended opportunity for growth. And, I love knowing that some accountability partners have continue supporting one another well beyond the length of the course. Q: What's in the daily emails and audio slides? Are they an important part of the course? A. Ahhhhhhh, I'm SO glad you asked! There is so much knowledge bundled into these accessible emails; they are truly packed with transformational guidance! I hear it time and time again from Elevate Daily Life participants, "I had NO idea how VALUABLE the emails would be to me! I have saved each one so that I continue returning to them again and again. The emails alone are worth the price of enrollment!" |
