"Sundance was started as a mechanism for the discovery of new voices and new talent." ~ Robert Redford Greetings from Park City, Utah!
A short note this week.🥰 I am soaking up every moment at Sundance Film Festival! Being in the mountains, with TONS of snow, amidst the creative energy and the buzz, with two of my dearest people?! I am HERE for it ALL! I love that Sundance is a decades-long celebration, and a lifting up, of new voices; it's exciting to be immersed in the spark. And, I'm grateful for this time to refuel. The blue skies, mountain air, time with cherished girlfriends . . . even when it's all happening at a complicated time for our construction project, our puppy, and Mike's work schedule? (Thanks, love, for holding it all together at home! ♥️) This time to change gears. To recharge. To sing and laugh until 3:00 A.M. To be inspired, challenged, and awed by creativity. It's SUCH a gift. No matter where you are, I hope you find ways today, this weekend, to recharge. To spark your own creativity. To rest and reset. Let's all breathe into the moment and celebrate ourselves! Love from the mountains 🏔️ ~ m P.S. Thanks so much for ALL of your feedback from last week! I'm thrilled you're excited about possible trips to Portugal and retreats to Costa Rica. 😃 And, thank you for expanded speaking opportunities to share the benefits of regulating our nervous system and reducing stress. 🫶🏽

"The Universe is not outside of you. Look inside yourself; everything that you want, you already are." ~ Rumi Hello, my friends! From January 1 until the first New Moon of the year (this Saturday, January 21!), I like to reflect, and dream, and get very clear within. As I reflect, I am full of gratitude.
"Life gives you plenty of time to do whatever you want to do if you stay in the present moment." ~ Deepak Chopra Namasté, friends! For those of us in West Michigan, we are experiencing grey days. A lot of grey days. In fact, people are quoting and posting statistics about the amount of sunshine we have seen since the beginning of December. I can't bring myself to share the numbers with you; somehow, reading those scant figures further cements the grey into my brain and my being. 😅 And yet, these grey days are a beautiful reminder of what yoga is all about. Being present in this moment. Open to all that is within and around us. As it turns out, even these grey days are abundantly beautiful. I am grateful to live in a place that is full of natural wonder. Lake Michigan is an expansive wilderness, and especially this time of year, it truly can be wild. For those of us here this time of year? Find out more about how to help yourself through the grey days by clicking here.
"let your growth and healing attract emotionally mature people and good situations. when you change from within, your outer world gets brighter." ~ yung pueblo Hello, beautiful beings! We've turned the page to 2023. The end of a year always has me thinking about new beginnings. And, I hear lots of talk about resolutions. Making a resolution usually begins with, "This year, I am going to . . . " Fill in the blank with any and all goals that are set. Maybe this year we will all to our goals. However, it seems most people do not. The statistics, from Discover Happy Habits, are not encouraging:
When resolutions are made, people have been reflective and determined what it is they want to change. The desire to change is both genuine and heartfelt. So, what goes wrong? Or, maybe more importantly, how can we approach our resolutions differently? Learn more about committing your best self and sticking to it, by clicking here.
